DIY Pallet Art
One of my most popular projects of all times is this pallet art of a deer bust. It stays up in my house all year round, but I stick on a glittery red dot for his nose and during December, and my deer turns into Rudolph. So awesome!
I love him so much (and so does everyone else) that I decided I wanted to do the same type of project, but make a few different options.
So I created an acorn…
A Christmas star…
And a snowflake…
I used this awesome new Adhesive Back Stencil Material from Silhouette, which made my project turn out AWESOME!!!
So here’s a little tutorial if you want to make your own Pallet Art.
You’ll start off with a “pallet”. Except I totally cheated and didn’t use a pallet at all. (see how here)
Then you’ll cut your image out of your stencil material using your silhouette.
Since the stencil material is sticky, you’ll just stick it right onto your pallet.
Make sure to stick your stencil on really good, paying close attention to your edges, so no paint gets underneath your stencil. Then paint over your image. If you feel extra sassy and want to add some glitter, just shake some on while the paint is still wet.
Then remove your stencil.
An voila!!! You’ve got yourself a truly personal pallet art project that only took a few minutes.
