Fire Hydrant Flower Bed
This post brought to you by Miracle-Gro. All opinions are 100% mine.
This Summer, we have been working hard on a little curb appeal. The biggest thing has been getting our grass and garden put in. It’s been a lot of fun! As we were putting in our yard, it dawned on me that we have a fire hydrant in our front yard. And as cool as that will be if our house is ever on fire, it’s not so cool to look at. Or mow around.
So I decided to put a flower bed around the fire hydrant to make it a little bit cuter.
Not so bad, right?
We planted a fruitless Apple tree, which has the most BEAUTIFUL blossoms in the Spring! And I also planted a few petunias, which are probably my favorite flower to plant in my yard. I also have them in my Milk Can planter.
I lined the flowebed with retention wall blocks, just like I did around the front of my house, and by my front steps.
And, as always, with all of my gardening, I make sure to use Miracle-Gro. For in-ground, I used LiquaFeed All Purpose Plant Food Advance Starter Kit.
Projects like these are pretty easy, but if you need help, or ideas, a great resource is The Gro Project.. They also have a Pinterest page, with fun garden projects, which a great place to get ideas.
Miracle-Gro has a ton of articles and videos full of expert gardening tips, which are actually really helpful. Make sure to check it out!
super cute. Hope that fire hydrant isn’t needed for anything more than an eagle scout project and a flowerbed!
