Father’s Day Breakfast Idea
I am so excited to share our favorite father’s day breakfast idea.
Every year, I try to make Father’s Day super special for my husband. I especially like making Father’s Day BREAKFAST special for him. Usually I spend hours in the kitchen, making crazy complicated recipes to try to impress him. It always makes a huge mess, and honestly, he’d just rather pancakes, eggs, and bacon anyway.
So this year I thought up a great idea for breakfast! And to be honest, it isn’t the breakfast that was the great idea, but rather the location! Because as much fun as we have had being quarantined at home for what seems like 8 years, we needed a little break from being home.
So we packed up the camping gear, including our Camp Chef, and headed out for a fun little weekend camping trip instead.
He got to enjoy his favorite breakfast of pancakes, eggs, and bacon while sitting next to a quiet lake with nobody else in sight. It was absolutely the best idea I’ve ever had! And don’t tell him, but we actually ALL loved the fresh air and camping. It was just what the doctor ordered.
And now I’ve officially decided that every year we are spending Father’s Day weekend in the mountains. And maybe Mother’s Day, the 4th of July, Memorial Day, Labor Day, and every other holiday possible. Haha!!
We love camping, fishing, hiking, kayaking, and everything that comes with the outdoors- except maybe the mosquitos. So it has been really fun to take our fun family celebrations to the mountains, lake, and campsite.
I always pack along the camp chef, because it’s the only thing I need to make really awesome meals for my family, that can be quick and easy, or as elaborate as I want to make them.
The Camp Chef stove is so easy to set up and take down, and it comes with it’s own carrying bag, so taking it along with us is a breeze.
Sometimes we take our tent, and sometimes we take our trailer. But either way, we always take along the Camp Chef, even though our trailer has a tiny little kitchen, it’s much nicer to take the mess outside. Nothing is worse than a greasy mess all over the trailer. And to be honest, I’d rather cook next to the lake than stuck inside the teeny tiny trailer kitchen.
We always start our mornings with hot chocolate! It’s a camping tradition! Then I throw on the cast iron griddle, and I can cook the pancakes, eggs, and bacon all at the same time. It makes for such a quick and easy breakfast that everyone loves.
We have the Camp Chef Pro 60x 2 burner grill, along with the cast iron griddle, and the 5 piece all purpose chef set (which is my FAVORITE!!)
This post is sponsored by Camp Chef. They provided product in exchange for this blog post. As always, I would never recommend a product we don’t actually use and love. And since most people on both sides of our family have Camp Chef stoves, and we all use them all of the time, it’s safe to say that we love this product and would highly recommend it.
LOVE our Camp Chef too! The grill box is the best to cook bacon in, or keep dinner warm, and hamburgers are always good! And I totally agree…I would rather cook outside than in the trailer. 🙂
