Gift Guide for TEEN BOYS 2024
Shopping for gifts for teenage boys can be really difficult. They are just a little too old for most toys, but they are still kids at heart. We have 17 and 12 year old boys, and we have every single thing on this list. This list is made of tried and true things that our teen boys actually have and use. I promise this list will not let you down.
These CUSTOM CHAIN NECKLACES are so cool!!! You can order them with your favorite sports team, or send your own school or club logo to the etsy shop and they make it into a chain necklace for you. These are a huge hit with the teenage kids. Everyone at our school wears them to football games and they absolutely love them!
This MINI MASSAGE GUN is perfect for every athlete. My son keeps this in his baseball backpack and uses it after lifting weights, working out, and after baseball practice. Even though it’s small, it is still really strong and gets the job done. You charge it with USB, so it’s super convenient and portable.
My 17 year old has these BEATS HEADPHONES and he absolutely loves them. He pairs the bluetooth to his computer when he is doing his homework, he wears them while working out, mowing the lawn, etc. I love these better than ear buds because I can tell when he’s wearing them, and it’s a little more obvious, so he doesn’t just keep them in his ears the entire day.
I think I love this CHARGING STATION more than my kids do. Each of them has one of these charging stations where they put their phones, airpods, and watches each night. I have tried every cord and charging station there is, and these are hands-down my favorite. Nobody steals each other’s cords anymore and everyone has a place where their phones go at night. SO convenient!
If you have an athlete, you’ve got to get them a CHAIN NECKLACE with their number on it. Our sons have the baseball ones, but there are also chain necklaces for basketball, football, and soccer. Or try a chain necklace with their initial or one with a ball. Whatever your kid is into, there is a chain necklace for it, and I bet your teenager would love it. My son has loved his! He wears it every day.
This is kind of a FUN LITTLE TOY. My teenage son and his friends have fun playing with this for hours! They compete with each other to see how many times they can hit the ball without it dropping to the ground. Things like this are fun for teenagers because they will just pick it up and start playing with it. It doesn’t require a lot of learning or effort.
A DIY ROBOT is so much fun. My sons love STEM projects and this was a really fun build for them. Once they build it, they can control it and play with it.
KENDAMAS are so much fun. My 17 year old has had a kendama for probably 6 years, and he still plays with it. For Christmas this year, all of my kids are getting kendamas. It is a toy that they just don’t get sick of. And as a mom, I like this toy too. It’s great for hand-eye coordination and helps kids learn to be resilient. Even I’ve played with it a time or two! Haha!!
Several of my kids asked for an ELECTRIC SCOOTER for Christmas this year. My teenage boy has this one, and it’s been so much fun for him to zip around our neighborhood. This isn’t just a toy scooter, this is an actual adult scooter that they will not outgrow. This one has real rubber tires, can go up to 20 MPH, and goes 20 miles without charging. It hooks to your smartphone and has a 264 max weight limit.
You might think a YOYO is a basic and obvious toy. But these yoyos aren’t just one you pick up at the dollar store- these are super responsive, professional yoyos. My sons and my husband all have these ones, and they play with them all the time. I don’t see my teenage son playing with many toys, but he will still throw a yoyo around whenever he sees one.
I know what you’re thinking- these UGG TAZZ SLIPPERS KNOCKOFFS are girl shoes! I thought the same thing. But my 17 year old son begged for these! He loves shoes that he can slip on and off quickly, and he thinks these ones are really cool! So who knows? But he has these ones and loves them! Haha!
My teenage son loves this FLASHLIGHT! I don’t know much about flashlights, but he has had a couple and really likes this one. He likes to hang out outside, is always on some sort of adventure, and loves to go hunting and fishing. He likes to keep this flashlight clipped in his pocket or stashed in the glovebox of his car. He likes how small it is, but is still really powerful!
This DIY PINBALL MACHINE is so cool! It comes in pieces and you have to build it yourself. My teenage son got this one for Christmas last year and it kept him busy all day on Christmas. I’m going to be honest with you, these don’t last forever. Once you build it, it’s fun to play with a few times, but it isn’t meant for heavy playing time. But if you are looking for a fun toy for your kids to tinker around with, we have really liked this one.
We have several of these SILENT BASKETBALLS and my kids are always playing with them. We first got them because they were always trying to dribble real basketballs in the house and it was driving me crazy! But these basketballs really are silent. My kids can dribble them all day long and it doesn’t bother me. Plus, it doesn’t ruin the floors!
My son got this WOOD BURNING KIT when he was 13 for Christmas. He’s had it 4 years now, and he still pulls it out every once in a while and plays with it. He used to play with it a lot and do fun projects with it. But now he uses it for more practical things, like burning his name into the barrel of his baseball bat. He liked it so much, I’m getting one for my 13 and 9 year olds this year for Christmas.
SAMBAS are the most popular shoes right now. My 17 year old boy has the black ones and my 14 year old daughter has the white ones. They wear them everyday and they still look like they are brand new. They both love them so much and we highly recommend them!
This isn’t the funnest gift, but both my teenage son and teenage daughter swear by this FACEWASH for acne. My son uses it every night before bed, and we can definitely tell a difference in his complexion when he uses it or not. If you have a teenager who struggles with a little bit of acne, but not enough for a prescription, we recommend this PanOxyl.
My husband got a DART BOARD when he was in High School and used it all the time! It finally got worn out a few years ago, so this year for Christmas, he mentioned getting one for our son. He had so much fun playing with his dart board for years, and he said to make sure you get the one with the baseball game on the back!
Our family really loves THIS GAME. It might seem like it’s too simple for a teenage boy, but actually, my teen prefers simple games. He doesn’t have the time or patience to learn new games. We keep this one on our coffee table, and it’s amazing how often our teenagers will sit down and play it without prompting.
