How to Make Dinner Rolls in the Waffle Iron
I don’t know about you guys, but the minute my kids walk in the door from school it’s like a feeding frenzy! You’d think they hadn’t eaten in years! I’m starting to wonder what they spend their lunch money one. Haha! Since after school time is so crazy, I’m always looking for quick little snacks I can make up real fast so they don’t end up filling up on Halloween candy. I love this idea for cooking dinner rolls in the waffle iron!
My family loves Rhodes rolls- they are so easy! But sometimes I just don’t have time for raising and baking. So my 4 year old and I experimented with putting Rhodes roll dough into the waffle iron, and it turned into a BEAUTIFUL creation!
You can find the FULL RECIPE on the Rhodes kids Blog.
My kids DIED over these- they loved them so much! We put butter on the top and sprinkled ours with cinnamon and sugar.
Some of my kids dipped them in honey, jam, or even spread peanut butter over the top. The possibilities are endless. This is such a fun thing to get your kids involved in the kitchen that doesn’t take too long or make a huge mess!
What a great idea Natalie!
