Wooden Tree Advent Christmas Countdown (free building plans)
I am so excited to share this darling wooden Christmas Tree advent with you guys. It is such a cute addition to my holiday decorations and I love the way it turned out!
My kids think counting down to Christmas is the best thing ever- who am I kidding, I love counting down to Christmas too. So I decided to add a fun advent calendar to our family’s holiday decorations. And I came up with this cute wooden tree Christmas countdown.
I love the simplicity of the design I came up with. I tried to keep it minimalistic, with the plywood, and flat design. Things can get complicated and busy during the holidays, so I knew I didn’t want to add another crazy complicated decoration in the mix.
Although we use this as a Christmas countdown advent calendar, this doesn’t have to be used as an advent calendar at all. It would be perfect in a place where you didn’t have room for a Christmas Tree, but still wanted to add some holiday cheer- like a small apartment or in a bedroom or office. Or you could use it to hang your favorite Christmas ornaments- away from the tree where little hands and pets tend to break ornaments.
If you are using this as a Christmas countdown, or advent calendar, you’ll start with an empty tree, then simply add an ornament each day of December, until the tree is filled up with 25 ornaments by Christmas.

I share a lot of my building plans over there, because I love how simple and easy it is to find all sorts of building plans. Plus I find a lot of ideas of how to use some of my favorite jigs, like the Kreg Jig, and other fun building tools, like the accu-cut.
